• FAMD celebrated its 20 year business relationship with JFE group, Japan along with milestones of supplies of 1 million Mt of Chrome Concentrate and 2 Lakhs Mt of Ferro Chrome.
• FAMD also celebrated 20 years business relationship with Hitachi Metals Japan in the month of March. FAMD has been supplying Low Phos Ferro Chrome to Hitachi Metals since 1991, with 100% Share of Spend for Ferro Chrome with Hitachi since 2002.
• Completed supplies of 3 million MT of dolomite to SAIL plants.
• FAMD received the CAPEXIL (Chemical & Allied Export Promotion Council of India) award for excellence in Export Performance during the year 2009-10 for Chrome Concentrate exports for the third year in succession.
• Zero LTIF (Loss Time Injury) for the second year in succession in all our operations.
• Carbon Footprint mapped and Energy Audit done at all units of FAMD.
• Vocational training for youth carried out for capacity building excersise.
• Construction of six community centres around Malda & Bamebari Mines.
• 24 Sports talents inducted at Sports Feeder Centre.
• Mega Health Camp organized at Malda Mines treating 18,695 people in FY11.
• Sukinda Chromite Mine Won National Safety Award 2009 for lowest injury frequency rate.
• Mr Laxman Singh of COB Plant has been selected for Prime Minister Shram Award for the year 2008.
• Mr. Girija Bhusan Pattanayak of FAP Joda selected for Prime Minister Shram Veer Awards for 2009.
• "Sustenance of Chrome Ore Reserve - A threat well responded" won Tata Innovista in Eastern Region.
• COB, Sukinda was adjudged the second best MASS unit in Tata Steel in 2010.

"AGNI" Circle of Sukinda Mining and "Furnace Charging System" of FAP Joda won Gold Medal at International Convention on Quality Circle Concept-2010 held at Hyderabad.
