The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
God could not come to earth to feed and take care of every child. So, he sent ‘Mother’ in place of him. A woman is incomplete if she is not blessed with the nature’s privilege of becoming a mother and nurturing the god’s gift with pure and unconditional love, care and affection. Motherhood brings a sense of responsibility and major changes in the life of a woman. The first word a baby utters is ‘maa’. This is a very satisfying accomplishment for a woman, especially if it is her first child. In the present scenario, the bond of children & mother has changed a lot in the way of expressing one’s gratitude towards their mother. But the compassion and emotions of motherhood have remained unchanged since the beginning of humanhood.
Being a working mother, I immensely thank God that I belong to the Tata steel family as it allows me to satisfactorily render both my duties.Joining back after my maternity , I was never made to feel that I cannot take on to the challenging responsibilities. At the same time I had the flexibility to accommodate my motherhood responsibilities .Though I did not avail the nursing break as I was blessed with a good support system at home too.
I feel proud of being part of this prestigious institution and would like to serve till my retirement.
Tata steel is a melting pot of cultures, traditions and ways of life. It’s one of the few organizations all across India which not only develops its employees into professionally competent individuals but also helps in making them socially sensitive citizens as well.

What a privilege it is to be a part of such an amazing organization, filled with such amazing people! I know how challenging it is to join a new job when you have a small child, but the flexibility and the additional privilege leave here is a big relief to working mothers like me. I look forward to a long association in the Tata Group.
I am a researcher in R&D and I truly love my job. I have been engaged in coal and coke research. I enjoy the challenges and diversity of work. Moreover working in Tata Steel, also gives me opportunities to maintain a perfect balance in work and home. As well I manage the time to pursue my passion in dance. I am thankful to management for the policies related to additional Privilege Leave and the facility they provide for child care like creche. These allow me to concentrate in my work without worrying about my children.
